Dr. Randa Jaafar is a graduate of Wayne state University in her hometown of Detroit Michigan, who completed her internship and residency at Case Western University in Cleveland Ohio in Anesthesiology.
She developed an interest in pain management after working under her world renowned pain management mentor, Dr. Salim Hayek. She traveled to the big apple to complete a pain fellowship at Cornell University medical college in Manhattan’s Upper east side. Dr. Jaafar practiced at Maimonides medical center in Brooklyn New York as an anesthesia and pain management attending.
Now she has made her way into private practice in Manhattan and branching out to Westchester and the Bronx. Dr. Jaafar specializes in interventional procedures including but not limited to – migraine botox, sciatica, joint injections, minor cosmetic procedures (botox and dermal fillers), neck pain, CRPS, abdominal pain, ultrasound based procedures and spinal cord stimulation. She values herself in weaning patients off of narcotics in a slow and comfortable way that minimizes patients withdrawal or pain. She also treats cancer pain and has adopted medical marijuana prescribing for patients who qualify under New York state guidelines.
Dr. Jaafar is well known in the practice as a compassionate care provider. She is thrilled and humbled to call NYC the best city in the world her present home. She enjoys the various social and cultural engagements the city has to offer and is excited to be labeled a New Yorker already.
